Most players finish The Shore in 2 to 5 hours. Exploring every cove and reading every note takes you to the upper end.
Which platforms is The Shore on?
The Shore: Enhanced Edition is out on PlayStation 5 since 30 April 2026. The PC version is on Steam, GOG and itch.io since 19 February 2021. Xbox Series X|S follows later in 2026, and The Shore VR is on Steam for SteamVR headsets.
When does The Shore come to Xbox?
The Shore: Enhanced Edition was announced for Xbox Series X|S on 2 March 2026 and launches later in 2026. This page will link the Microsoft Store listing as soon as it opens.
Is there a physical PS5 edition?
Yes. The Shore: Enhanced Edition comes as a bonus game in the physical PS5 edition of Necrophosis: Full Consciousness, published by PQube and released on 28 May 2026.
What is the age rating?
On PlayStation 5 the Enhanced Edition is rated ESRB M (Blood, Violence) and PEGI 12 (Horror).
Which languages does The Shore support?
Voice acting is in English. Text and subtitles are available in 14 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), Russian, Polish, Turkish, Hungarian, Greek, Japanese and Simplified Chinese.
Does The Shore run on Steam Deck?
Dragonis Games announced Steam Deck support for the PC version in March 2022.
What are the PC system requirements?
Minimum: 64-bit Windows 7, Intel Core i5 4400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600, 8 GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 1060 3 GB, 15 GB of storage. Recommended: 64-bit Windows 10, AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel Core i7-7600K, 12 GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 1660 Super 6 GB, an SSD.
Can I play with a controller on PC?
Steam lists partial controller support for the PC version. The PS5 and Xbox versions are built for the controller.
What is the difference between The Shore and the Enhanced Edition?
The Enhanced Edition is the console release of The Shore, adapted for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and published by Iphigames. The story and the island are the same.
What is The Shore VR?
A separate virtual reality version of The Shore for SteamVR headsets, played standing with tracked motion controllers. It is in English and sold on Steam.
Who made The Shore?
Ares Dragonis created The Shore at Dragonis Games in Greece, with programmer Adonis Brosteanu, composer Thanos Zampoukas and Brandon Fague as the voice of Andrew. It was built in Unreal Engine 4 and supported by an Epic MegaGrant.
